The drinking water chemistry proficiency scheme consists mainly of actual drinking water samples for the analysis of inorganics, metals and organics. There are 17 different analyte groups (shown below) each consisting of numerous analytes (details on pages 5-9 of the Water & Environmental PT brochure).
  • Group 1: Major Inorganic Components
  • Group 2: Routine Components
  • Group 3: Routine Metals
  • Group 4: Non-Routine Metals
  • Group 5: Inorganic Disinfection By-products
  • Group 6: Trihalomethanes /Chlorinated Solvents
  • Group 7: Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons
  • Group 8: OP Pesticides
  • Group 9: Acid Herbicides
  • Group 10: OC Pesticides
  • Group 11: BTEX
  • Group 12: Cholring
  • Group 15: Triazines and Urea Herbicides
  • Group 16: Total Cyanide
  • Group 17: Haloacetic Acids
Closing date for registrations for Groups 9, 12, 15, 16 & 17 is four weeks before the start dates for these tests. Closing date for registrations for all other Groups is two weeks before the start date of these tests
