HCV NS3 ELISA 48-WELL FORMAT

INTENDED USE:

The BioFront Technologies hepatitis C virus (HCV) non-structural protein 3 (NS3) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is a kit that allows for the quantitative detection of HCV NS3 within cellular lysates. The NS3 ELISA is suitable for testing drug-treated cell lines, knock-down or knockout cell lines for the presence of HCV replication, or for evaluating HCV infections in vitro. This assay provides a high throughput alternative to conventional viral detection methods such as reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and western blotting. It also enables facile and quantitative measure of HCV replication without the need to incorporate reporter genes into HCV genomes. This ELISA kit is NOT intended to be used for detecting the presence of viral particles in patient sera or cell culture supernatant.

Components: 48-well plate, NS3 standard, 10X cell lysis buffer, 5X wash buffer, HRP-conjugated anti-NS3 detection antibody, 5X conjugate dilution buffer, high sensitivity HRP-substrate solution, HRP quench solution

Storage/Shelf life: Each plate is packed in a vacuum-sealed Mylar^(R) pouch with desiccant and oxygen absorbing packets to extend the shelf life of the product to 6 months from the date of manufacture, if kept unopened and stored at 4^oC.

Performance:

Example of NS3 ELISA standard curve data. An uninfected cell lysate was prepared with 1e6 cells and 0.5 mL cell lysis buffer. NS3h standard was serially diluted using 2-fold dilutions and spiked into the cell lysate. Values were blanked using 0 ng/mL cell lysate. The linear range extends from 600 to 9.4 ng/mL.
